Inverness Ridge

This time of year is great for hiking in the Bay Area. Clear skies, mild temperatures, and light traffic on the trails. Or, no traffic at all, if you pick a less-popular trail like Inverness Ridge, in the Point Reyes National Seashore.

As usual, I’m trekking with my friend Guy. A mostly easy hike brings the best-anywhere views of Drake’s Bay, Point Reyes, and just a sliver of Pacific Ocean beyond.

After slogging halfway up the steep approach to the peak called Point Reyes Hill, we decide to call it a day. We’ve piqued our appetites. Wild mushroom pizza and appetizers at Wild Goat Bistro is great!
